Inventory Manager
The Inventory Manager application enables the financial institution to load, track, transfer, update and sell inventories such as gift cards, tickets, coupons, postage stamps, etc. through custom screens and reports.
Benefits
Financial institutions sell gift cards, tickets, stamps and other inventory items that require maintaining information about the inventory on-hand as well as posting of the sale proceeds through appropriate General Ledger (GL) accounts.
The Inventory Manager application will enhance the process of maintaining inventory and posting appropriate entries to GL accounts mapped for specific inventories. The financial institution's member service will be improved at the teller window and the ability to research inventories will be faster.
This application can increase fee income and/or improve efficiency by maintaining various inventories at the branch/cashbox level that would otherwise be a manual and tedious process.
The Inventory System at a glance:
- Establish institution-defined Inventory Types and Inventory Sub Types.
- Define Inventory Vendor Organizations based on a new Organization Type (8INV – Inventory Vendors) and/or a new Org Level userfield.
- Map distinctive combinations of Inventory Type, Inventory Sub Type and Vendors to define an Inventory Item.
- Set per unit Cost and Fee of each Inventory Item and assign appropriate GL accounts.
- Set low inventory threshold limits for each Inventory Item at the branch level.
- Load and maintain both serialized and non-serialized inventory.
- Transfer inventories from one branch/cashbox to another branch/cashbox.
- Real-time inventory sales transaction processing.
- Sell inventory to customers/non-customers through account withdrawal and/or cash and directly post the funds to the respective GL accounts.
- Provide tickler alerts to increase inventory when available inventory quantity reaches a specified reorder level.
- Track balances and detailed information of Inventory Items through a comprehensive set of fields in online reports.
- Real-time updates and extensive research options for more detailed and accurate inventory reports.
