Pep + Interface

The PEPInterface DNAapp enables integration between DNA® and the Paperless Entry Processing (PEP+) interface. PEP+ provides an efficient and reliable means of processing and controlling Automated Clearing House (ACH) electronic funds transfers by processing electronic records received from and sent to ACH offices, financial institutions, and corporations.
The PEPInterface DNAapp processes, in real time, ACH prefunding inquiries received from PEP+ and places prefunding holds on the deposit accounts in DNA®. The application also releases the prefunding holds during DNA® batch processing.
When PEP+ is set up with DNA® as an integrated product to support ACH processing, other ACH processes (listed below) are managed independent of PEP+. The integration of DNA® and PEP+ systems provides the following functions:

• Accepting and processing posting/return files from PEP+
• Generating ACH files in DNA® and transferring to PEP+
• Accepting settlement files with settlement amounts from PEP+
• Return processing; send exceptions/return files to PEP+
• Accepting and processing general ledger (GL) items from PEP+ GL posting files

The PEPInterface DNAapp manages ACH prefunding inquiries from PEP+ to determine whether the balance on an account is available for processing and releases applicable prefunding holds associated with the account before posting the ACH transaction.
