Account Description Update
The Account Description Update application reads in a CSV file containing two columns, account number and new account description, and updates the account description in the DNA™ account record.
Overview
This application reads a file to update account descriptions. This application consumes a comma separated file containing account numbers and account description values and will update each account accordingly.
Processing
The Account Description Update application reads in a CSV file containing two columns, account number and new account description, and updates the account description in the DNA™ account record. Any portion of the account description data that exceeds the database field limit of 40 characters will be truncated. The application produces a report listing the accounts updated, as well as the old and new account description data. A runtime parameter allows the institution to determine whether account description maintenance should be logged to the database activity tables.
